What Cause Liquid Ooze Out After Treated Sebaceous Cyst?

Hi doc,
My son had sebaceous cyst removal by a surgeon three years ago. it was behind his right ear. However, it's been on and off of infection. Now still some liquid out sometimes, a small hole on it. No pain or itiching, basically no symptom. Should he see a dermatologist or a surgeon for this? thanks!

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

You may want to consider taking him to see a surgeon. Normally sebaceous cysts would be managed by doctors in this speciality. It is possible that the cyst is re forming and may need removal.

I hope this helps
