What Cause Pain And Churning In Lower Abdomen Post Wisdom Tooth Extraction?

Hi, I had my wisdom teeth removed about five days ago, and I haven t been able to chew anything yet because i m afraid of messing up the stitches. However I ve been feeling pain in my lower stomach and churning(gurgling?). I haven t taken the pain medicine for a few days since the pain dulled and the bleeding stopped the day after the surgery. I eat soup and bread for dinner and drink coffee in the morning for breakfast since I still can t chew anything, though I have lost about five pounds.

Hi..
Can understand your concern..

As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from acute gastritis caused by antibiotics and painkillers which are taken to relieve pain and cure infection..

Although now you have stopped taking the painkillers you may be taking the antibiotics still or if you are not taking any medicine now , the intake of these medicines a few days back have caused you gastritis leading inflammation in stomach lining leading to pain and discomfort in stomach.

You can take antacid liquids before meals and One capsule of Pantoprazole 40mg empty stomach every morning to get relief..

Avoid taking coffee, spicy foods.

You can very well chew food and eat to avoid big pieces of food entering stomach which takes more time to breakdown and digest..

If you fear of chewing you can take soft food stuffs but taking solid diet is important for a good digestion..

Drink plenty of water as it maintains hydration as well as act as a medium foe digestion of food.

If after 4 to 5 days also you do not find relief you should see a doctor and get evaluated..

Hope you get well soon..

Thanks and regards..
