Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from
Burning Mouth Syndrome in which there is severe burning and at times numbness inside the mouth..
It can be due to a number of causes like dry mouth, yeast infection known as
Oral thrush, deficiency of iron and
vitamin B12, stress, physical trauma,
acid reflux, side effects of medications,
chemotherapy and radiotherapy etc..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated.
He can do a clinical examination and also advise you investigations like blood tests to check for Hemoglobin %, serum Vitamin B12 levels, blood glucose levels etc..
Treatment of the underlying cause will resolve the symptoms..
As of now you can start symptomatic treatment like Gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
Take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen.
Do cool water rinses and suck ice pops..
You can also chew sugarfree chewing gums as it help in stimulating saliva flow..
Avoid spicy foods and also use non alcoholic mouthwashes..
Avoid stress with meditation and yoga..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
