What Cause Sharp Pain In Vagina During Intercourse?

In the past month Ive notice that during intercourse I have a sharp pain on the left side of my vagina. It feels as if i have a scratch or a cut. Now I noticed that its swollen. It feels like a bump inside which is swollen and it hurts when I touch it. What should I do?
