What Cause Sore Throat And Body Aches?

i had what i thought was a common cold with a very hard painful cough which lasted about a week, i felt much better but then the cough came back even worse than before. My throat is raw, my sides aches, and nothing seems to help. Is this the flu, or bronchitis and what should i be taking, also have high blood pressure medication, athenolol that i take

Welcome to healthcare magic.
I had gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
This could be upper respiratory infection.
I recommend the following.
1) A course of antibiotics.
2) Analgesics for pain
3) Salt water gargling.
4) An expectorant cough syrup.
