What Caused Fluid In Eyes When Trying To Equalize Ear Pressure?

Yesterday, I tried to equalize the pressure in my ears and something happened that has never happened before. Air blew out through my right tear duct. That I know is not abnormal, however, a ton of fluid blew out all over my eyeball. It felt and sounded like a nearly empty mustard bottle splatting out the remaining contents. Then for more than ten minutes, my right eye kept flooding with the same fluid, completely obscuring my vision. The consistency of the fluid was more like mucus than tears. It was literally like a flood.
