Cardiologist 's  Response
Thank you for your question! I wish that your lovely Mom be quite stable and active as long as be possible with the help of God and doctors; first of all I would like to make a small explanation about BP maintenance: BP is one of the very important hemodynamic vital parameter produced by the cardiac pumping activity and vascular reactivity; fluid state inside the vascular system is also very important; many heart problems (like valvular, myocardial or pericardial diseases), low fluid states (like inflammatory bowel disease, diarrhea, profuse vomiting, hemorrhage, etc), and low vascular reactivity state could contribute to low blood pressure findings: advanced age could contribute itself with a lowered neuro-vegetative function; If I am not wrong because of some misspelling phrases your Mom was taking around 10 different pills, I don't know how many of them are used for BP control; if there is any the daily doses should be monitored after-that.
So the first thing to do with your lovely Mom is to perform a cardiac ultrasound (ECHO); also a recent fluid loss should be excluded by history taking and physical examination (could be nicely performed by your cardiologist during echo); and the last but not the least to arrange any possible not appropriate treatment doses (for BP, thyroid disorders, etc)

I hope that my recommendations could be of some help for your lovely Mom; best wishes from Dr. Ilir
