What Causes DVT On The Leg After A Thoracic Sympathectomy?

I am 73 years old, had a total hysterectomy in 1986 and was put on Premarin .325 ( minimal dose) In 1981 I had a thoracic sympathectomy ,right side from C8 to T5. Tolerated Premarin very well, until 2015, two days post .op TKA developed a PE and DVT on the operated leg. Unfortunately I was told that I could never take Premarin again. No doctor has come up with a solution to my sweating only on one side, Premarin was the only drug. Can you advise me please ? Thank you Inge K. Molzahn

Hello,
Thanks for the query.
Consult a physician and ask for alternatives.
Premarin is not safe as it can provoke attack of DVT.
Wishing all the best.
Thanks
