After many years in law enforcement and not being able to openly discuss my situation of having PTSD because of fear of career suicide, I finally am out of that career and seeking serious help because my situation is worsening. I finally sought help. I went to an insurance covered Doctor. My issue and question is this. I sat in front of him for 15 minutes only, he asked several standard to the point questions. Ok. How come he asked me my first question are you a spender the last question he said ok this of the record are you a womanizer those two threw me off. Are the answers practical? 15 mi Utes later he told me to cease all current mess and take his 2 prescriptions. Anti elliptic and one bedtime one. Guy barely knew me??? Help
In many PTSD cases, suicidal ideation is common. If you've experienced a traumatic event or have PTSD, it's important to be alert for suicidal thoughts and develop ways of coping with them.
Catching and addressing these thoughts early on can prevent them from spiraling into a suicide attempt.
There are several coping strategies that can help defuse suicidal thoughts, but don't wait for a crisis situation to try them.
Look them over now and come up with a plan for the next time you experience suicidal thoughts.
Therefore I suggest consulting a skin specialist for physical examination, diagnosis and treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. K. V. Anand, Psychologist
