What Causes Parkinson S Patient To Scream During Nights Along With Crawling Sensation On Body?

my husband has parkinson s and he is on Amantadine. He has been on it for years. he has terrible dreams or i don t even know if it s dreaming. He will start screaming ti the top of his lungs. He scares me and i just sit and try to console him until he calms down. Sometimes he thinks bugs are crawling on him and sometimer he says it mice in the bed. I don t know what to do. Sometimes i ll try to sleep in another room and i can still hear him screaming. I just concerned that it could affect his heart. He had a TIA about twelve years ago. he takes Aggrenox for that. He also takes Segeline, oxybutyin. Atorvastatin,Allopurinol Tamsulosin. He will be sixty seven thursday. he still drives.i just wonder about these medications. Can you help me or refer me to someone. Thank you so much

Hello,

The crawling in bed with narrated symptoms are in relation with the extra pyramidal side effects of the anti Parkinsonism drugs. His neurologist is best person to handle this side effect via dose alteration in current regiment, medicine change or addition of newer molecule for this problem. This is not an issue to be solved by only counselling for sure.
