What Causes A 10 Year Old To Cry Unnecessarily?

Hello yes I have a question ...I have a ten year old daughter who lately has been crying for no reason and she says that she feels sadness for no reason. We have good communication and I know that no one is hurting her but I have no idea why she feels this way all she wants is to stay in bed crying. I am afraid that she might have depression but she is just a child.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query

I would like to suggest that you take your daughter to a counsellor if she is reluctant to open up to you on the matters that is disturbing her. It would probably be good to give her company as an when you can. Try engaging her with things that she used to like doing. Also see if your girl has attained her menarche.
I hope this helps.
Kindly revert back to us for any further queries.
Thank you
