What Causes A Backache?

Hi, my back, close to the side started to hurt last Friday evening. Thought I tweaked it from carrying my 19 no old. It continued yesterday, Sunday. Dull pain, hurts more when I press the general area. Took ibuprofen last night. But when my toddler woke up at 3am, I felt stabbing pain. I have high cholesterol. Don t want to self diagnose. But thinking of going to er.

You are having history of strain from taking your child at Sunday

Hence it might be muscle/ ligament strain that leading pain in back

For your condition ibuprofen prescribed for five days

Physiotherapy also beneficial if needed

Avoid strenous work for few days

Avoid heavy weight lifting for few days

You are right, it's better to get examined by orthopedic surgeon nearby for your condition and accordingly further work up like x ray if needed
