What Causes A Bent Leg?

My son had a debridment of a bedsore on his bottom they also took out a little bone.It was healthy tissue,after the debridment it affected his muscle in his leg his leg stays bend and now his weight goes to the other side he now has a sore forming on the other side. What kind off nerves did they hit?
