What Causes A Black Scab On The Buttock?

Hello, I had a black scab like sore on my upper buttuck. I assumed it was a burn or maybe an infected hair follicle so I treated it with tea trea oil and triple antibiotic. Over the next two days, the black area receded but the skin around it became inflamed and red/ yellow. Is this a serious skin condition or a deadly spider bite? I can t find any answers to help

Hello Welcome to HCM, thanks for posting your query. And I really sorry to know your problem. I have seen many such cases and want to know few things.
1. Have you experienced any insect bite?
2. Your age and diabetic status
3. Is there any kind of pus coming out?

See the scab that you mentioned, may be some kind of folliculitis.
As you have already taken antibiotics, that's the good thing you have done.
So, be sure that the wound heals. Be positive. That will help you most of the times.
If around is bad, then regular dressings with mupirocin ointment should help.
And control of sugars is important in wound heaing.
Good nutrition and proteins are vital. Hope all these helps you.
Take care..
