What Causes A Blister Around An Implanon Removal Site?
I had my implanon removed 4 days ago. After removing the bandage after 48 hours I noticed a large blister below the white bandage straps where it was removed. It popped and a yellow liquid and blood came out. Is this normal or should I go to urgent care to have it looked at.
The blisters could be an allergic reaction from the Implanon. Sometimes, such birth control inserts can cause inflammation of the tissue leading to blisters. It will decrease on its own...
Thanks Dr. Tripat Mehta
