What Causes A Blood Shot Strip And Lump In The Iris?

Hi, I have a bloodshot strip in my eye from the inner corner to the iris, where it meets the iris is a small colourless lump. It feel like I have something in my eye and has been there for a week. I was wondering what this could be and how it can be traeted?

Hello,

The colorless lump is likely to be a pinguecula ( it is a kind of conjunctival degeneration). Occasionally the tissue surrounding a pinguecula might get inflammed and cause prominent blood vessels from inner corner of the eye to it. Treatment is by using anti-inflammatory eye drops ( prescribed by an eye doctor).
