What Causes A Blood Vessel To Be Visible In Eys?

Hi, there is a blood vessel in my left eye, (same side as my temple, not the inside near my nose). It runs from top to bottom of the white part of my eye ball. Its been there for a few months and many people keep asking me whats wrong with my eye? I notice it more when I have a headache and at times it feels sore or like there is something in that portion of my eye. Is there a reason for this and will it go away?

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having a prominent blood vessel on the surface of the eye.
This can be because of dilatation are inflammatory conditions or simple hyperemia.
Since you are not having symptoms of inflammation this can be because of simple hyperemia.
This will respond to use of decongestant eye drops.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for confirmation of diagnosis and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
