What Causes A Brown Coloration In The Blood?

Hi 5 days ago, I had sex with my boyfriend and bled a lot when this happened it was a day after my period had finished. Now when I go to the toilet I am wiping slightly brown stuff, I don't know what's wrong and I'm quite scared to visit a doctor. Please help :)
