What Causes A Brown Discharge In The Urine?

Hi, I am going through menopause. I am 55 years of age. I normally used to see spotting once in 5 months or 8 months. But now I had this light brown discharge (not staining or spotting) only when I urinate and it is very very light. I consulted a gynaec and was advised to take Gynae CVP. Internal exams were done and also abdomino pelvic scan. Nothing unusual was found. Is this okay and normal.
