What Causes A Brownish Discharge During Urination?

One day i noticed that when i wiped after peeing there was brow ish and red colour on the toilet paper. Im nervous of what it could mean its still happening but not as bad and its been about 2 days. I am expecting my period in the next few days though. What are your thoughts on what could be happening?
