What Causes A Bruise At The Bottom Of The Toe?

Hi there,I have what looks like a bruise (dark coloured area) near the bottom of my third toe, and going slightly up my toe. It doesn t itch, doesn t burn, I only noticed it because my daughter and I were painting our toenails. What could it be? Should I see my GP?Thank you for looking into my question.

Hello,

Commonly bruise under the toe occurs due to ill fitting foot wear, or some hurt during walking or jogging.

Since the bruise is spreading it can be some blood clot under the skin.

You can apply ointment Thombophob (Benzyl Nicotinate & heparin). It should get reduced.

If it remains the same or is spreading, visit GP at the earliest & get physically examined to rule out insect bite & get treated. You may need antihistamines & antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
