What Causes A Bruise On The Buttocks Along With Severe Chest Congestion?

3 days ago I slipped on carpeted stairs and hit buttocks then upper back between shoulder blades then my head. It knocked the wind out of me took several minutes for me to breathe. I have a large bruise on my buttocks none on back. I had some allergy symptoms prior to fall but within 2 hrs of fall when I took a deep breath my chest rattled. Congestion has gotten worse over last two days. Could there be a connection with the fall? I started on an expectorant today and feel it s loosening. Just checking to see if it s possible to have my fall related to these symptoms. I am a 63 yr old woman in good shape. Thanks

these could well be related to your fall. as you say that deep breathes causes chest pain. this is a sign of plurisy. you should get a chest xray done to rule out haemothorax and rib fracture that could have occured due to that fall
