Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
A folding chair collapsed under me. My left side and back came down on the back of the chair, left upper thigh hit lower part of the chair. Leg got a scrape and is a colorful bruise (after one day), from the beginning it was hard to take a deep breath, yesterday my body wanted to sneeze and started the motions but the pain was so bad my body overruled and didn t sneeze. Movement is very limited and I can t turn over in bed, I m forced to sleep on my back (which I hate, I m a side sleeper) and I need help getting up. What did I hurt, a rib? Tendens in the back? How long will I be meserble?
Your symptoms seem to be related to the fall. It can be related to a broken rib. I recommend you to do an X-ray to confirm the condition.
Meanwhile, I recommend you to use anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen three times a day. I also recommend you to do cold compresses for relief.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
