What Causes A Bruise On The Upper Arm?

I have a large bruise on my upper arm specifically the bicep - on the top, inside and underneath (some) to bicep .... also bruising goes down my forearm for about 3 inches on the top side (my hand is facing up) and the inside of forearm. About 5-6 days ago I used a home blood pressure cuff - it was very tight about up to 185 - 190. There is a little pain - the bruising seems to get a little bigger and darker with each passing day.
