What Causes A Bulge On Penis After Circumcision?

Hello, my son is 20 months old, and not circumcised. We have been potty training for the last two weeks and he s doing really well. Today, after his nap, (which he wore a diaper for) he woke up crying and pointing to his penis. There is a slight bulge on it which is VERY sensitive and he won t let me look at it. He s still peeing although it seems to cause pain. Should I just take him to the doctor?

Hello,

Yes, you should take him to the pediatrician. We should check if he needs to get circumcised now. Balanitis is probably happening but should rule out possible local trauma. So better send him to see a pediatrician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
