What Causes A Bulge On The Right Side Of The Lower Abdomen?

I am experiencing a bulge on my right side lower abdomen about 2-3 diagonally upwards of my right hip home. It keeps rising , staying firm, and then deflating and has been continuing for about 30 minutes. It causes mild pain and if in touch it it is a pain level around an 8. Any idea of what it could be?
