What Causes A Bulge Under The Arm Above The Armpit?

i have had a bulge under my arm right ablove my arm pit that has been there for several months, if you look at my left arm when it is fully extended upwards you can see the bulge it s on the outside of my arm but it s right above the armpit, it is achy at times and tender to touch, today i have reddness on my skin right where the bulge is. i have had no trauma to my arm, i do have carpel tunnel in both hands, yet I have never had any issues like this.

Hello,

The bulge under the arm over armpit indicates soft tissue lesion as sebaceous cyst most likely. Now as there is redness and pain which means there is inflammation inside the cyst as possibly abscess formation. Needs a consulting with your doc for primary check up, prescription of medications of antibiotics and anti inflammatory types and see the resolution as many times minor surgery may be a need of time.
