I had a bump on my back that my doctor thought was a cyst (pus pocket). He did in office procedure and said he did not know what it was but that it was not a cyst. He stitched it up and referred me to a general surgeon. What are some things it could be?
Hi, The most likely alternative diagnosis is a lipoma. This is a fatty lump and is not a serious condition. If it is not bothering you, it can be left alone. Regards, Dr K A Pottinger
