What Causes A Bump On The Lower Buttock?

I have a sore/bump on my lower (not in crease) right buttock that is becoming almost too painful to be moblie. My doctors office is closed for the weekend and as much as its hurting, unless it is an emergency I really would hate to go to the ER for a skin aliment... not when there s so many others in true dire need. I don t know if your chat allows pictures or not but if so I can send you some. THANK YOU SO MUCH

Hi,

A bump on buttock which is painful is very likely to be a corbuncle. That is an infection of hair follicle of skin.

Truly you said many times it's not an emergency, at the moment you can use some painkiller like Ibuprofen for the pain along with daily wash with soap 2 to 3 times a day.

But any time it may need antibiotics. So you may need to consult your GP for a prescription of antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
