What Causes A Bump On The Tibia?

Hi I have just noticed a bump on my tibia. It is painless and it seems fixed to the bone. I have hurt my leg recently and can recall that where the bump has appeared is where I hurt it.
I am concerned bc I am currently in remission for 12 months after being diagnosed with HD.
Can someone give me possible causes to why a bump may appear on a tibia? Should I be concerned? Should I see a doctor?
