What Causes A Bump On The Vagina When Diagnosed With Vaginal Fungal Infection?
Hi I was diagnosed with Vaginal fungal infection two months ago. Prescribed flucon, a 5day course of suppository and the candid cream. It made the itching and discharge go away but the bump near my vaginal opening remained. A few days back the itching started again and there was some discharge. Should i retake the same dose? I dont have time to visit the doc since I am traveling for work all the time. Specific inputs would be appreciated... Not if then or maybe depends kind of inputs. Regards
You have to apply anti fungal antibiotic. You can apply anti fungal pessaries or take systemic anti fungal antibiotic. You are using correct medicine but may be dose and duration is less. it is a chronic infection. Consult a gynecologist for examination. Your partner should also be tested. Restrain sexual activity for few days. Change of medicine may be required.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Ashok Kumar Dash
