What Causes A Burning Sensation After Falling Down?
Hi, earlier today i fell foward close to the ending of my concrete floor. My whole body landed on concrete except my head. My head was past the edge concrete...but it swung down then up real fast and i heard a loud pop. Now i didnt loose any sensation...i just feel a burning sensation when i look certain direction? Could that mean anything??
Hi. Thanks for your query. Read and understood your history of accidental fall on concrete and the burning sensation you developed later on. As per the history you have provided, this looks to be due to the classical whip-lash injury of the neck as your head did not stuck the concrete but it was outside the border and has typical movement. During the injury the nerves must have got stretched and the resultant nerve injury called neurapraxia causes this sensation of burning on turning the head to a certain direction. I would advise you the following: Bed rest, particularly avoid neck movement or use the collar. Consult a Neurologist to get a neurological evaluation. Get treated accordingly.
