A 9 year old girl drank a very strong syrup she found in the the kitchen pantry. She became pale and extremely weak. Based on your observation, she was very thin, her hair was grey to red, sparse and pluckable. The skin was dry, shiny and generally hypopigmented. Skeletal X-ray showed generalized osteoporosis. While her Acetyl coenzyme A reading is normal, further biochemical analysis of mitochondria revealed reduced ATP presence in her system.
