What Causes A Clear Fluid Dripping From The Nose?

Early this morning I awoke and realized a little puddle of water had dripped from my nose. Thinking I may have a nosebleed, I turned on the lights and it was not blood. (don't usually have nosebleeds either) The fluid was clear. First time this has ever happened. I am 61 years old, healthy as far as I know. Should I be worried?

hello,thanks for query, clear fluid could be csf from brain covering to nose, or simple rhinitis . it should be differntiated from nasal secretion. kidly visit an ent surgeon for neccessery tests like ct scan with contrast.all the best. take care.
