What Causes A Clicking Sound In Joint Of Thumb When Moved?
The top joint on the thumb on my left hand acts like a trigger finger. It does not move slowly or easily without the click like a trigger. My doctor prescribed prednizone. I used the prescription and it helped--for a while. It has been two days and my thumb is still behaving like --a trigger finger. I have been taking more fish oil, and glucosamine sulfate--but I have not found relief. What must I do to remedy this. The middle finger on my left hand is beginning to act like my thumb. Thank you for any any answers you may have that will help.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have clicking sound in joint of thumb when moved which is normal in most of the cases , where there is no pain on clicking . Well your symptoms need evaluation of your blood uric acid level, even if it has come out normal you will need to get it checked regularly, also meanwhile, stay active, exercise regularly eat healthy food , avoid junk, have lots of fruits . Joint clicking is also occur due to arthritis due to loss of lubricating fluid (synovial fluid). I would suggest you to have some antiinflamatory medicines with calcium supplementation and physiotherapy that will help you a lot. Consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may prescribe allopurinol .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
