What Causes A Cluster Of Blisters On The Left Side Of The Forehead?
hi, my daughter is 11 years old and we have just noticed that she has got a small cluster of blister type spots on the left side of her forehead near her hairline and just wondered what it could be , she says they are very painful to touch and itchy at times too
Herpes zoster as well as herpes simplex would presents as a cluster of clear fluid filled vesicles which are associated with burning sensation/pain, tingling, tickling OR sharp, shooting and stabbing pain. The lesions are localised to one side of the body and are often distributed in a stripe in case of herpes zoster.
Folliculitis on the other hand is characterised by pus points in contrast to the clear fluid filled vesicles of herpes zoster.
I would therefore advice that you see a dermatologist for a confirmatory diagnosis and appropriate management.
regards
