What Causes A Cracking Noise And Muscle Spasm In The Left Buttock?

I tripped over my dog about 3 hours ago and pulled a muscle, in fact heard a pop, left buttock, very deep closer to the inside of my rear lower leg.Is there a muscle deep called the ishius? ( SP)? HAt the lower crease of my butt where my leg starts in the back is so sore. I have been sitting on ice
