What Causes A Cracking Sound In Chest After I Pulled A Muscle?

hi..im 21 years old male, no smoke and alcohol and im an athlete.Im also have pull muscle strain in my chest 3 month ago.But I have suffered a middle upper chest pain 6 days ago after a big sneeze.But when the pain was gone i heard there a 'cracking noise'come from my chest when i sneezing.Wat happen to my chest..
