What Causes A Cut In The Labia Minora?

I have been using an estring for the last 3 months. It s been out for about a week now. Both during use and now still, I have a slit (cut) in the fold of my labia that does not seem to heal. It gets a bit better but now it looks like maybe 2 cuts. I switched to softer toilet paper, have not had any sexual activity etc.....should I be concerned?

Hello,

Not to worry, but it needs time to get completely healed. Keep proper local hygiene. Apply betaine on the cut. Applying aloe vera gel can also help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
