What Causes A Cyst On The Vaginal Lip?

I thought I had a cyst on the lip of my vagina, I have had one before and it went away on it s own... well this one has become larger than the one I had before and there is a scab looking thing on it, almost like a blood blister, do I have an std or is this the cysts way of emptying?
