What Causes A Dark Rash Around The Ankles In A Toddler?

hi, my 6 year daughter developed a dark rash around her ankels (both feet) first I thought it was from cross-sitting in school, but now its getting worse. I have a 4 year son and he doesn t have it. Can it be some skin allergy or disease? I real need some advice... thanks

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query your toddler have symptoms of dark rashes which could be allergic reaction and urticaria. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to cover the skin and protect it from direct sunlight. You should apply petroleum jelly and apply cold compresses to reduce redness and inflammation . Also keep your baby hydrated. If condition doesn't get well then consult pediatrician for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe anti inflammatory, antihistamine or corticosteroid ointment after proper examination.
