What Causes A Deep Indentation On The Thigh?

Hi I just noticed an indentation in my upper right thigh almost like the muscle seperated! I can visually see it! It doesn t hurt and i can walk fine! What could be causing this, is it serious and what can I do to get rid of it as I find if unsightly! I just noticed it this morning and I do walk on the treadmill 3-4 times per week for about 45 mins. Please let me know and I ll await your response! Thanks

Hello,

Sudden indentation of muscle without injury is not that likely on clinical grounds.However, there can be manifestation of previous tissue insult which may have manifested after an exercise or such event presenting as acute episode. A clinical examination is a must to evaluate the details of indentation, type , pattern as well as possible cause of the same. If visible outside, a clear photo image of the indentation can be of immense help if provided during follow up conversation please.
