What Causes A Delayed Menstrual Period With Negative Pregnancy Test?

i had my last period on july 11th and have not started yet i took two hpt both positive but took one at the planned parenthood and it came out negative but im not sure they actuallt ran the test and gave me answer that if i hadn t had sex in the 2 weeks i wouldnt be pregnant
