What Causes A Delayed Menstrual Period With Stomach Pain?

I'm 20 years old, sexually active but on birth control. Last month my period didn't last that long about two days. This month i'm 6 days late and i have pressure some time a dull pain in my lower abdomin. What could be causeing this? Also i have never missed a pill.
