What Causes A Delayed Menstrual Period?

Hey doc i am a girl with age 20 and i am having delay in menstruation. The date for my menstruation is now a days but am not having any sign and symptoms. I had a sex with my boyfriend a month ago but was fully safe but i am scared that it is not about pregnancy. Why i am having delayed menstruation?
