What Causes A Discharge From The Belly Button?

hello , my name is sania .. height 5:3, and weight 76 kg ,this is my 24th week of preganacy n i have a severe itching problem from my 4th month , for last 3 days i had a sever itching at my beely button i used ghee ( pure oil) on it with cotton buds.. now the itching is gone but after every 10 to 15 min there is a small amount of water cuming from my belly button ..i m curious to know is it safe 4 me n my baby .. my guess is dat it is becouze of dat oil but it almost my 4 th day now n water is still cuming ..can u guide me plz abut this what it could be, infection or normal thing ?

Hi Sania, I have gone through your question. Discharge from the umbilicus is suggestive of infection in the umbilicus. Since you have applied oil in the umbilicus, it may lead to infection and hence discharge.
It will not effect the fetus, so don't be worried about that.
I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated and treated.
