What Causes A Discolored Spot On The Macula Of Each Eye?

I have a condition that the Mayo Clinic has been unable to diagnose effectively. There is a discolored spot on the macula in each eye. I have been told it is not macular degeneration and that it may be genetic. I also have significant photophobia, and am unable to use computers without software to invert colors. I can t read with bright backgrounds and experience physical eye pain when I make the attempt. Any suggestions or possibilities? In my own research, I came across Stargardt, but it isn t a perfect match, either.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

As per my clinical experience, the current presentation suggests it is a genetic issue and nothing more can be done regarding the discolored spot.

The visual accuracy and other pain related issues can be managed with expert ophthalmologist care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
General Surgeon
