Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
About an hour ago I could hear my heart ticking in the back of my throat. My heart was beating extremely fast, however it is now back to 80 - 90 bpm. I think it may have been a Heart Palpitation. I have taken 40 mg of Ritalin today and had two cups of coffee. I also Smoke. What do you think?
If you had palpitation once or some time to time but very rarely there is nothing to concern. My advice to you will be to try to follow healthy lifestyle, do not drink much coffee and it is mandatory quit smoking. If after lifestyle modification you continue to have palpitations every day or frequently I would advise you to undergo ECG and Holter monitoring. But I think everything will be normal
Hope I could help you
Wish you good health
Regards, Dr. Baghdasaryan
