What Causes A Feeling Of Creaminess In The Mouth?

I have had a creamy like feeling in my mouth for a week, like I've been sipping cream. Today I thought I might be getting a UTI so the Md gave me cephalexin 500mg I took one dose this am, so far no bladder problems bit the cream in the mouth persists. I am 58, exercise often and I'm good health and very trim. Any suggestions

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

As per your complain creamy feeling in mouth can be due to a number of causes like Oral infection like Thrush, side effect of medication, sinus infection, Vitamin or minerals deficiency, hormonal imbalance etc..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigation like Oral swab culture can be done..

As of now gargle with hydrogen peroxide and water mixture, drink plenty of water, chew sugar free chewing gum, use a tongue scraper to clean the tongue and maintain a good Oral hygiene..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
