What Causes A Grey Stain After Cauterizing The Nose?

I had the rght side of my nose cauterized with silver nitrate today and everything seems to be o.k. except that the skin underneath my right nostril has now a dark grey colour which I cannot remove my washing the area. Will the grey stain disappear or is there anything I can do to make it go away? Thanks for letting me know.

That stain is due to the silver nitrate. Nothing to worry. It will subside soon. Do pat dry the stain wherever seen.
